rebate of affiliation fees CHAMPIONSHIPS AT HEW PLYMOUTH [Peb United Pkess Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, August 5. The rebate of all affiliation fees payable to the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association for last season bv the constituent centres was approved at a meeting to-night or the council of the association on the recommendation of the sub-committee that had been set up to consider what action should bo taken. _ Cniy one centre had paid its affiliation tees tor last season, it was reported, and the fees that would bo remitted amounted to about £l7O. Tho New Zealand senior swimming championship meeting will be held in New Plymouth on January 8, 10, and 12, according to a further decision mado by tho council. Ihc dates originally iixed wore January o, G, and 8, and the change was made at the request of the Taranaki Centre. The council also decided to recognise as a Dominion intermediate girl’s record the performance of Miss A. J. M'Donald, of Invercargill, in swimming 100yds in 77 4-ssec. The,, record was created at Invercargill in June.
