LAUNCESTON, August 5. _ The world’s banana eating record is claimed by Ernest Renault, who consumed 4 4 in half an hour. The previous record was reported from .Melbourne as 43. Prior to breaking the record Renault ate three-quarters of a pound of German sausage and a biscuit, and drank a tin of condensed milk and a bottle of cordial.
