FUNDS FOR SPAIN.
TO THE EDITOR. gir—l was pleased to note in last night’s issue that Canada had, by an Order in Council, decided to step the raising of funds for Spain. Such a step would be welcomed in New Zealand, particularly in view of the fact that there is in our midst an element, apparently of Communistic tendencies, which is actively propagandising and raising funds for medical aid for the Spanish Government. This element would be better employed if it devoted its bropaganda to the social welfare or New Zealand and left- Spain to the Spaniards.—l am, etc., ' R.O. August 4.
