REMOVAL OF BARRIERS M. VAN ZEELAND'S MISSION Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright NEW YORK, June 28. ■The Prime Minister of Belgium (M. Van Zeeland), in a public address, referred to_ the economic difficulties facing certain leading nations as an unknown factor in the international situation: “ Should the difficulties become more acute,” he declared, “ they might create an internal situation so strained that recourse to war might appear the leaser of two evils.”
M. Van'Zeeland revealed that thepurppse of. his mission to the United Stfites was’to discuss international action to reduce the obstacles affecting trade.- He l denied that he intended seeking loans for Europe. m. yan Zeeland said that his conversations with President Roosevelt had been truly encouraging.
