The Berlin correspondent of the f Daily Telegraph ’ says that on behalf of the Catholic Church throughout ■Germany, the Bishop of Berlin (Count von Preysing), in a letter to Herr HitIpr, protested against the “ flood of filthy and indecent suggestions ” which fill Nazi, newspapers. These suggestions, the Bishop de- . dared, were sowing the seed of antiChristian hatred, resulting in the destruction of crucifixes, the attempt on the life of Cardinal Faulhaber, and the demolition of altars.
“ I ask that the exploitation of immorality trials as propaganda should cease,”- the bishop concluded.
