HOPE WHILE LIFE REMAINS
DOCTOR OH EUTHANASIA [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, Juno 29. Reference te euthanasia (a gentle and easy death) was made by Dr T. D. Stout, president of the New Zealand branch of tho British Medical Association, when addressing the New Zealand Veterinary Association to-day. Dr Stout said it was only in certain phases of hopeless mental disorder, especially w’hen associated with some subnormal development, that certain measures might he considered desirable. With regard to euthanasia for an incurable and painful disease, perhaps voluntary action by the individual might be justified, hut, as professional men, they were always hoping for a cure of disease as long as life remained.
