Society’s Winter Show;— The Dunedin Master Butchers’ Cup, valued at £5 os, to be won twice in succession or three times at intervals, for the best bullock, under three years, most suitable for butchers’ purposes, estimated weight not to exceed 9001 b Andrew Carruthers (Ngapuna). Fertilisers (South Island, N.Z.) Ltd., Dunedin.—Solid silver trophy to the value of 15gns for most points in fat sheep and lambs. To be won five times, not necessarily in succession—D. B. Craighead (Middlemarch). Tho New Snowdrift Lime Company. —Special prize of six tons of carbonate of lime for most points in sheep in this section. Only exhibitors from within a 50-mile radius of Dunedin eligible for this prize—D. B. Craighead (Middlemarch) . The Otago Harbour Board’s trophy, valued at 30gns, to the cheesemaker whose factory output for the season gains the highest aggregate number of points according to the Government grader’s certificate (open class) —Milton Dairy Company (J. Society’s Show —Otahuti Dairy Company (A. N. Barber, manager). Messrs J. B. Mac Ewan and Co. Ltd.’s (Wellington) cash prizes of £lO —namely £7 10s for first and £2 10s for second prize, for the best cheese’ manufactured with Imperial or Snowflake salt—Fairfax Dairy Company, 1; Maungatua Dairy Company (J. Gane, manager), 2. The South Island Dairy Association’s Glacia Salt Cup, for the best export cheese, white or coloured, manufactured with Glacia salt, as per D.F.S. conditions. Open to South Island factories only—Pahia Dairy Company (P. J. Morrison, manager). Brydone Memorial Shield, for 801 b cheese, suitable for export (open class). The winner will also receive a gold medal (inscribed) and a certificate— Omimi Dairy Company (M. Gale, manager) . Championship class, Otago A .and P.
