Stem brought off a flip and a flying tackle to spin Spellman and get the decision on points. The bout ended with the ropes trailing about the ring. A bout between Hal Rumberg and Matros Kirilenko, staged at Marten tonight, resulted in a draw after a brisk contest in which the wrestlers were well matched. The bout went the full eight round. Kirilenko secured a fall in the sixth round, and Rumberg equalised in the final round.
