Tho interisland express eteamer Maori arrived at Lyttelton from Wellington at 6.40 this morning, passengers and mails for the south connecting with tho express which was scheduled to reach Dunedin at '4,-18 p.m. TRANSPACIFIC MAIL VICES. / —Northbound. — Monterey left Melbourne on June 21, and Sydney last Friday for Auckland (where she arrived on June 28), Suva, Pago Pago, Honolulu, Los Angeles (July 12), and San Francisco (July 13). Monowai left Sydney on June 10 for Vancouver, arrived at Auckland on June 14, left there on June 15, arrived at Suva on June 18, and is due at Vancouver on July 2. Niagara is to leave Sydney on July 8 for Auckland, where she is expected on July 12, to sail the following day for Vancouver via Suva (July 16), Honolulu (July 23), and Victoria (July 29)., She is expected at Vancouver on July 30. Mariposa is to leave Sydney on July 23 for Auckland, Suva, Pago Pago, Honolulu, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. She is expected at Auckland on July 26, and at San Francisco on August 10. —Southbound. — Niagara left Vancouver on June 8 for Sydney via Honolulu, Suva, and Auckland. She arrived at Honolulu on June 16, at Suva on June 25, and Auckland on June 28. Sim sailed the next day, and is due to arrive at Sydney on July 3. Mariposa left San Francisco on June 22 and Los Angeles on June 23 for Auckland via Honolulu, Pago Pago, and Suva. She is due at Auckland on July 9, to sail for Sydney, where she is due on July 12, and at Melbourne on July 15. . Monterey is to leave San Francisco on July 20 for Sydney via Honolulu, Suva, and Auckland. She is expected to arrive at Suva on August 3, at Auckland on August 6, at Sydney on August 9, and at Melbourne on August 12. AUSTRALIA-NEW ZEALAND. Wanganella sailed from Auckland on Saturday for Sydney, where she was scheduled to arrive to-day Gabriella was fixed to load timber at Grafton, New South Wales, on May 30 for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. . She will also bring a quantity of general cargo from Newcastle and Eden for the two northern ports. She sailed from Clarence River on June 11, and left Edithbnrg on June 21. ■

Kekerangu was to load in South Australia early in June for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. She left finally from Melbourne on June 14, arrived at Auckland on June 21, and is due here on July 3. - Maunganui left Wellington on Saturday for Sydney, where she was expected to-day. Waikouaiti cleared Sydney on Saturday for Lyttelton, Timaru, and Dunedin. Waiana, from Barry (Wales), arrived at Auckland on June 20, and is expected at Dunedin about July 8 via Portland and Wellington. Holmlea Rattray street wharf. COASTWISE MOVEMENTS. Waimarino arrived here this morning from Bluff. She to load and sail this evening for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland. Waipahi is scheduled to load here on Friday for Wellington, Nelson, and New Plymouth via ports. Holmlea arrived this morning to discharge and load general cargo. She is to sail this evening for Timaru and Lyttelton to continue loading for Wellington, New Plymouth, and Port Waikato. Holmdale is to load at Dunedin on Friday for Wellington, Picton, and Wanganui via Oamaru, Timaru, and Lyttelton. Port Whangarei has been fixed to load here on Monday for Timaru, Lyttelton, Tauranga, Auckland, and Whangarei. Storm sailed late last night for Oamaru, Timaru, and Lyttelton to continue loading for Wellington and Wanganui. WAIANA LATER. The Union Copipany advises that the new vessel Waiana is not now due here until July 8. .AURETTA TO-DAY, The Auretta was due here late this afternoon from Lyttelton to complete discharge of her Ocean Island phosphate. She will berth at Ravensbourne, and will later come up to Dunedin. NEWTON ELM DOCKS. The Newton Elm docked at Port Chalmers to-day for cleaning and painting. She is to sail to-morrow for Westport. KARETU AWAY. The Karetu sailed yesterday afternoon for Oamaru, Timaru, and Lytelton to complete discharge of her Australian cargo and continue loading for Newcastle and Sydney. IN RADIO RANGE.
