FIGURES FOR HALF-YEAR The "vital statistics for the sis month* ended to-day show an increase in th* number of marriages for the corresponding period of last year of 64. Th« marriages for the period stated totalled 465, as against 401 last year. Tha births numbered GlB, compared with 653 last year, while there were 449 deaths this year, as against 470 last year.
