BAD CONDITIONS IN HIGH COUNTRY COURSE [Pk* United Pbess Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, June 26. Over a 60-raile high-country course,192 runners, divided among 24 teams, took part in to-day’s relay race from Christchurch to Aharoa. They went! along wiping the . snow out of their, eyes, splashing mud over their legs,, puffing uphill and blowing down, and grinning when anyone went past. The weather conditions were bad. Rain was handicapping the 1 runners, and the trail in places was exceptionally heavy, light snow falling at times. Results:— A Section. —Christchurch 1, Methodist 2, Timaru 3. 1 B.
