OTAGO HUNT CLUB

MEET AT NORTH TAIERI The weekly run of the Otago Hunt Club was held on Saturday at Black Bridge, North Taieri, over the properties of Messrs D. Leishman, J. Skinner, D. Connor, and Mrs A. K. Miller. Although the going was heavy tha majority of the horses jumped well, the performances being registered by Mr J. E. Brown’s Dandy (ridden by Mss M. Smaill), Mr TV. Hastie’s Mystery (ridden by Mrs TV. Gorton), Mr TV. Muirhead’s Kim, Rag Tag (ridden by Mr C. Haywood), and PaUafdrm (ridden ' by Mr H. Anderton). The pack was released in Mr Leishmah’s property, and hunted well throughout. The first obstacle was a hawthorne hedge, which proved a difficult jump on account of the state of the take-off. This was followed by another hedge and two post-and-rail / fences. The next two jumps were live hedges, the trail then leading aero®* the road to Mr Connor’s property, where there was a good variety oi obstacles, including gorse hedges, wire fences, post and rails, and a good road double. The trail then continued through Mrs Miller’s property, where the “ kill ” took place. After the hunt afternoon tea was dispensed at the residence of Mr and Mrs Connor.
