RADIO BEACONS. Radio equipment for Cuvier and Mokn Hino Islands, at the entrance to Hanraki Gulf, to be placed on order immediately, the lion. P. Fraser stated to-day. Difficulty had been experienced in obtaining such equipment from England, but two beacons were on the Port Bowen duo at Wellington on July 11. Three stations would be equipped in Cook Strait—Baring Head, Capo Campbell, and Stephens Island—to bo followed by the two stations mentioned in Hauraki Gulf. Mr Fraser said ho expected Baring Head to be in operation in August.
