PRACTICAL PSYCHOLOGY CLUB

The subject for discussion last Thursday evening at the Dunedin Practical Psychology Club was ‘ Demonstrations I Have Made.’ It was impossible, it was stated, to speak of many of the demonstrations one made, for they were too much concerned with one’s private life to admit of them being related. However, several members told how the practice of psychology’ in their lives had helped them to better health and to better conditions both in their home and business lives. One member spoko of a man in Kngland, Mr A. G. Searle. Portsmouth, who in a flash had had Ids eyesight restored, when all that specialists could promise him was that they might possibly save some sight by an operation, to which

he decided he would not submit himself. Mr Searle was a printer, and, as a thank offering, published the story of his healing in a small booklet which could be obtained from him at cost price. A few copies had been obtained from Mr Searle, and members would he given the opportunity to read his booklet and the letter received from him giving a few further facts about his healing. His health, which previously had been poor, was also restored at the same time as his eyesight. The evening closed as usual with a five minutes’ talk on character building.
