[A message received from Cracow (Poland) on June 25 stated that violent demonstrations were staged outside the Palace of the Papal Nuncio when thousands of people demanded the immediate dismissal of the Archbishop of Cracow (Monsignor Sapieha) for removing the heavy silver coffin containing the remains of Marshal Pilsudski from the Tomb of Kings in the cathedral in defiance of the President of Poland. The coffin was removed when the archbishop learned that King Carol of Rumania was to place a wreath on Marshal Pilsudski’s tomb.
