FLOOD WARNINGS TO FARMERS
ELECTRIC RECORDING MACHINE SUGGESTED [Peh United Press Association.] INVERCARGILL, April 23. More efficient means of advising farmers of flood danger were discussed at a of the Southland Provincial Executive of the Farmers’ Union to-day. _ It was decided to urge tho installation of an electric recording machine at the Gore Post Office, thus enabling direct and constant contact with the level of the Mataura River. It was also suggested that a similar arrangement should be made for the benefit of settlers whose, properties are affected by the Aparima and Oreti Rivers.
