MYSTERY DEATH
MAORI UNCONSCIOUS FOR TWO MONTHS [Per United Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, April 24. Mystery surrounds the death in hospital early this morning of Hurl Taiaroa, a Maori, aged 43, of Taumutu. He was admitted to hospital over two months ago, ostensibly with a broken arm, but some time after admission he became unconscious and lay in that state until he died ' Suddenly. There are allegations that a “ set-to ' occurred among several Maoris, as the result of which Taiaroa received the injury which caused his admission to hospital.
