RUGBY An interesting round of matches will be played to-morrow, when the attraction at Carisbrook will be the match University A v. Kaikorai. Weather conditions at present look like favouring Kaikorai, but, nevertheless* the way the University handled the ball on tho wet day in the match against H.M.A.S. Australia proved that they are capable of adapting their style. Kaikorai’s display last week was a great improvement on the form shown last season, and they look like proving a tough proposition for most teams. The forwards possess plenty of weight and dash, and the backs look like developing into a quite good combination. The University forwards possess plenty of dash, while the backs gave a Very bright display in their opening engagement. Subject to the ground being in a fit state, a colourful curtain-raiser should be witnessed between Zingnri and Pirates. At the Caledonian Ground an inter-

esting game should be witnessed between Dunedin and Taieri; at Tahuna Park Southern will meet Alhambra. Southern have again fielded a good allround side, and will no doubt endeavour to retain their present position at the top of the tree. At the University Oval University B will meet the Union. With the meeting of Maori Hill and High School Old Boys at Logan Park spectators should be treated to an interesting game. In the opening matches last week both < teams showed excellent promise. The other town game, between Technical and RoslynWakari, will be played on the Oval. The remaining matches will be ont-of-town games, these being Seacliff v. Mornington at Seacliff and MosgieJ v. Northern at Mosgicl,
