TIME AND A-HALF AWARDED [Pun United Press Association.] tt . GREYMOUTH, April 9. Holding that under section 260 of the Mining Act the plaintiff was entitled to wages at the rate of time and a-half for Sunday work, the warden (Mr R. I 1 erner, g.M.), to-day gave judgment at Hokitika for £24 12s 8d in favour of Charles M’Lean against the Rimu Dredging Company. The case was heard on March 17. , M’Lean claimed £7l 2s Bd, of which £44 10s represented payment allegedly j due for Sunday work during the period 'in.'- 31 ' I )a y n ] en l was °n the monthly rate. Inis portion of the claim was disallowed. Costs were awarded to ; id f a [V w^lo was represented by Mr i J- O’Regan, of Wellington.
