PATEAROA SCHOOL REUNION
At a meeting held in the Pafea-i roa Hall recently, of those responsible! for the arranging of the functions, ta be held during Easter, to commemor-i ate the fifty-sixth anniversary - of -the opening of the present Patearoal School, it was reported by the secret taries (Miss K. M'Atamney and Mr, W. J. M‘Do wall) that the indications were that the celebrations would bo attended- by. a pleasingly . large number of ex-pupils and ex-teachers. Tho treasurer, Mr F. M'Atamney, reported that the financial position of the corny mittee was very sound, and that tha various -functions • could be run at a; very low cost to those who attended it. : It was decided to accept the scry vices of Mr J. B. Wootton, of Dun* edin as caterer for the dinner, the ball; and the sports. For' the sports' on! Easter Monday, which are being run in conjunction with the Gimmerbura School - Reunion Committee, the seri vices of the Palmerston Pipe Band hav« been obtained. It was decided to oh* tain the best music : available for th# reunion ball on the Monday night.
