OVER £260 COLLECTED The result of the annual public. 'appeal conducted yesterday by the Y.W.C.A. must be considered highly satisfactory, in comparison with the total last year, £260 13s being collected. This represents, not only the proceeds ot street corner collections, hut includes special donations totalling £6!) 8s and the proceeds of various stalls, which swelled the amount by nearly £34, The public responded liberally and good-naturedly to the demands of the assistants with their boxes, the stalls were freely _ patronised, and many special donations and -gifts of produce and flowers wore given spontaneously. The board of directors of the Y.W.C.A. desires to express its sincere thanks to all those who assisted in the appeal, and to the public for the manner in which it responded.
