The final and deciding Sheffield Shield match was begun to-day between Victoria and South Australia in fine weather and on a good wicket. Bradman won ttye toss and South Australia batted, being dismissed for 182 (Whitington 30, Bradman 31, Ha me nee 35; Fleetwood-Smith six for 66, M'Cormick three for 56). Victoria in the first innings has lost two wickets for 97 (Rigg 33, Lee not out 42).
