IMPERIAL CONFERENCE
MAIN ITEMS ON AGENDA FOREIGN AFFAIRS AND DEFENCE Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, March 11. (Received March 12, at 11 a.m.) Mr Stanley Baldwin, in the House of Commons, announced that the Imperial Conference would be held on May 14. The principal items on the agenda, he said, were foreign affairs and defence.
MATTERS OF COMMON INTEREST, (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, March 11. (Received March 12, at noon.) In the House of Commons the Prime Minister said the Imperial Conference would afford an opportunity for discussing matters of common interest to members of the British Commonwealth under the heads, firstly, foreign affairs and defence; secondly, constitutional questions; and, thirdly, trade, shipping, air communications and allied subjects. As to constitutional questions the particular subjects proposed for consideration were certain matters relating to Commonwealth treaty procedure and the international status of members of the British Commonwealth and channels of communication between them.
