(Received February 19, at 11.30 a.m.) Lord Nuffield, speaking at a Commonwealth Government function in his honour, said he was thankful for all the kind things said about him. “ 1 am taking no credit to myself for what 1 have done, for the simple reason that 1 have the money to do it, but 1 also say—and this applies to the Old Country, too—there are too many people who have money who do not do it. I hope that what 1 have dona will be an example to ollim.j.”
