The following officers were elected at the biennial conference of the New Zealand Library Assoication, which was concluded at Wellington to-day:— Honorary president, Professor J. Hight (Canterbury); president, Mr E. J. Bell (Canterbury); vice-presidents —Miss E. A. Chapman (Canterbury), Mr T. D. H. Hall, Dr Guy H. Scholelield (Wellington), Dr A. L. Singer (Gisborne), Mr N. V. Douglas and Sir Cecil Leys (Auckland); secretarytreasurer, Mr J. Nome (Wellington); assistance secretary, Mr 0. S. Perry (Wellington); council—Messrs W. C. Prosser (Rangiora), W. J. Harris X Otago University), C. W. Collins (Canterbury College), A. G. W. Dunninghara (Dunedin), E. B. Ellerm (Leys Institute, Auckland), C. R. H. Taylor (Turnbull Library, Wellington), W. J. Gaudin (Wellington), and Miss 'A. M. Blackett (Wanganui); honorary barrister, Mr J. O’Shea'(Wellington); honorary solicitor, Mr J. R. Marshall (Wellington) ; honorary auditor, Mr B. 1). Peterson (Wellington); honorary editor. Mr C. S. Perry. Mr Hall was also elected a life member.
