Y.W.C.A. DIRECTORS
The first meeting this year of the Dunedin Y.W.C.A. board of directors took place this week. Those present were; —Miss Frances Ross , (in the chair), Mesdames Mackie Begg. H. D. Skinner, Parata, H. P. Kidson, H. Malcolm, C. Fowler, J. Fairbairn, W Anderson, Dr E. Gregory, H. K. Wikmson, Misses Sullivan, Begg, and Ashton. Apologies were received from Mesdames Ritchie, Adam*, Dotting, J. Sutherland Ross, Misses Permin and M Namara. A welcome was extended to Miss I 1 orgvth, who has come to the hostel to relieve for Miss Roseveare whije she is on holiday abroad. The activities report showed that a, leadership training course was being taken with a group of young leaders, and that the syllabus included Bible study, handcrafts, and psychology. Girl Citizen groups had commenced activities, and throughout the summer the cricket team had been playing steadily Miss Ross announced that Miss Lovell Smith, the new general secretary, would commence her duties on April 1, and that Miss Ashton, who had been asked by the Adelaide Association to take a position there, would be released in the middle of March. Until her departure Miss Ashton would act as general secretary. . Much time was spent in discussing plans for the street day, which will be held early, in March. The meeting was closed with the Benediction.
