SYSTEM OF SELECTION DISSATISFACTION IN AUSTRALIA. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright ADELAIDE, February 19. (Received February 19, at 11.30 a.m.) The Australian Students’ Congress passed a resolution expressing dissatisfaction at tho present method of select ing Rhodes scholars. It was alleged that insufficient consideration was given by tho Selection Committee to Ccci, Rhodes’s expressed desire that emphasis should be placed on personality „and capacity for leadership, and, while it was not considered that brilliance in sport was a necessary quality, it appeared in some cases inadequate. Consideration was given to the terms of Cecil Rhodes’s will in respect to the candidate’s fondness for and participation in manly outdoor sports.
