CHILDREN’S REST HOME.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —Miss Agnes Hill Jack’s letter of explanation of why she resigned from tho committee and what occurred is quite correct, hut Mr W. R. Brinsley, who was not present at tho previous meeting, sent a letter to tho hen. secretary, Mr R. Crooks, to tho effect that he would, at the monthly meeting, which was held on Monday evening last, February 8, move a motion to rescind the previous resolution. This information was sent to each member of the committee when the notices of the meeting were sent out. Miss Hill .lack was not present at the meeting. Those who voted for acceptance of the £2OO, which was granted to us by tho Minister of Internal Affairs out of the profits of the art union, were Messrs W. R. Brinsley, W. E.' Earnshaw, F. IV. Knight, L. W. Green, and A. Goodley; against the motion—Mrs E._ Wood, Nurse Holford, and Mrs S. Smith. The money has been received, and the Hon. W. E. Parry has been thanked for his valuable assistance in helping to maintain the home.—l am, etc., S. Dunkley, Manager, Children’s Rest Home. February 13.
