A thornless rose, dream of flower lovers for centuries, has been developed at Attica (New York State) from a single chance plant that “ just happened to grow that way,” according to an Attica horticulturist, Mr Edward C. Stroll. He declares that he has grown 3,000 thornless rose bushes this season.
