ANSWERS TO CORRESPONDENTS

“Waiting.”—Fruit Salts; soz icing sugar, 2oz Epsom salts, 2oz tartaric acid, 2oz cream of tartar, 2oz carbonate of soda, 2oz magnesia. Put through a fine sieve and mix very thoroughly. Dose: one heaped teaspoonful in a tumbler of water. “Paw Starch.”—Mix 2oz starch in one breakfast cup water, add half a teaspoon borax, mix very thoroughly before using. Dip the collars in this and roll up for an hour or two. Before ironing wipe with a clean cloth.
