WOOL CHEQUE IN AUCKLAND MILLION TOPPED IN TWO SALES Press Association— By Telegraph—Copyright AUCKLAND, February 12. Representing an aggregate payment of £613,851, the proceeds of the second Auckland wool sale, which have been distributed! to growers this week, reflect the most favourable season for the last 12 years. The cheque easily surpasses the £518,750 realised _ by the January sale in 1928, and brings the total distribution for the two Auckland sales this season to £1,053,121, as against £935,621 for all the three sales last season. The total compares with £321,081 obtained from the second sale of the 1935-36 season and £439,270 for the November sale of this season.
