N.S.W. CHAMPIONSHIP CRAWFORD BEATS BROMWICH Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, December 5. The Davis Cup player, Crawford, won the New South Wales lawn tennis singles championship on Saturday after a thrilling struggle with the junior, John Bromwich, 6-4, 3-6,-1-6, 11-9, 6-2. In the women’s singles final Miss N. Wynne defeated Mrs H. Hopman, 4-6, 6-4, 6-1. ' In the men’s doubles final Crawford and M'Grath defeated Quist and Hopman, 8-6, 6-2, 9-7. The women’s doubles final resulted in Misses N. Wynne and D. Stevenson defeating Misses A. Menzies and 0. Stebbing, 6-2, 2-6, 6-2. ASSOCIATION MATCHES COSY DELL v. OTAGO (Cosy Dell names first). Falconer beat Robertson, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3; Cameron lost to Boddy, 1-6, 3-6; Jensen lost to Pollock. 4-6, 2-6; Hunter lost to Kaye, 0-6, 0-6. Cameron and Hunter lost to Pollock and Kaye, 0-6, 2-6. Otago won by four matches to ono. ST. CLAIR v. NORTH-EAST VALLEY (St. Clair names first). Swallow beat Jolly,, 6-4, 6-1; Green lost to Facer, 5-0, 6-3, 4-6; Davies beat Valentine, 6-4, 6-5; Kingston beat Poulter, 6-0, 6-3. Swallow and Green beat Jolly and Facer, 6-4, 3-6, 6-4; Davies and Kingston beat Valentine and Poulter, 6-3, 5-6, 6-3. Totals: St. Glair, 5 matches, 11 sets (83 games); North-east Valley, 1 match, 3 sets (58 games).
