ANNUAL CONFERENCE [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, December 6. Delegates representing Wellington, Auckland, Canterbury, and Otago attended the annual conference of the New Zealand Journalists’ Association in 'Wellington. The president (Mr A. F. Grace, of Auckland) presided. . . The annual report disclosed a large increase in the membership of the constituent unions. Applications for affiliation were received- from Greymouth and Nelson, and Taranaki is considering affiliation. It was announced that the results of the good journalism prize would, be available shortly. It _ was decided to continue the competition on simplified lines. * A Canterbury motion that the headquarters be moved from Auckland, where the council has been situated for 11 years, to Wellington was carried unanimously. Mr G. Freeman (Wellington) was elected president, and Mr A. R. Cameron (Wellington) vice-president. The remaining members of the council will be elected by the constituent unions.
