PICTURES ON CHRISTMAS DAY.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —I am shocked and thoroughly disgusted to learn that the local picture theatres intend to be open on Christmas Day. What type of man have we in authority to allow such an abominable thing to happen in such a city as ours? Are these men Christians? I, as a child, was taught to respect the Lord and His day. Have not the theatres time enough during the year to screen, without choosing Christmas Day ? Trusting that those concerned will give this matter some consideration, —I am, etc., Mother of Two. December 7.
