COMMUNITY SINGING
The weekly ling will be held on Friday At 12.15 in the Strand Theatre (by courtesy of Fuller-Hay ward), Mrs HTntyre, who is in charge of the stall, thanks donors for flowers and goods. Last Friday good business was done, and she is always pleased to receive flowers, as they find a ready sale. Arrangements are being raado for a special item this week. Mr H. P. Desmoulins will be the leader, and another good programme is assured. Mr Alf Pettitt will at the piano. The school vacation will be held soon, and a special ■tag will be held on a special day for the .children, übder Big Brother Bill, in the Town Hall. Mr J F. Himburg (secretary) would be pleased to receive the cheerios not later than Thursday, so that he will be able to acknowledge them. Donations can be sent to Begg’s or Strand Theatre. The proceeds are for the mayor's relief fund. Llsteners-in ate showing their appreciation by sending donations, and the second £IOO prill he handed to the mayor.
