CLAN MUNRO
FORMATION OF ASSOCIATION From Clearwell, New Galloway, Scotland, comes news of the formation of a Clan Munro association. A letter from Captain D. J. Munro, R.N., states; “No name in Scottish Highland history has a more distinguished record. Even during the Great War a Munro was GovernorGeneral of Australia, another Comman-der-in-Chief in India, and another Secretary of State for Scotland. “ The clan is scattered over the seven »eas, • and the object of the association is to provide a head for the clan to rally round, to preserve and record the history of the clan, and generally to act as a parent body for the welfare of clansmen.
“ Throughout the British Empire many Munros are in positions of responsibility, and it is hoped that they and all others will rally round and join and make the association a success. Particulars and forms can be had from Captain D. J. Munro, C.M.G., R.N., Clearwell, New Galloway, Scotland, hon. secretary, and Lewis Munro, National Bank Buildings, Dingwall, hon. treasurer.
