NATIONAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION
A meeting of the Executive of the National Rifle Association of New Zealand was held at Wellington last week. It was attended by representatives from all over the Dominion, and the following amendments were made to the existing regulations:— The width of the aiming mark for the 300-yards target was altered from 12 inches to 14 inches. The 500-yards and 600-yards target aiming mark was altered: from 24 inches to 28 inches.
No alterations were made in respect of the bulls’-eye, inner, magpie, and outer rings. The 800-yards and 900-yards target bulls’-eye was reduced from three feet to two feet six inches.
The opening of the next New Zealand Championship Meeting at Trentham, was fixed for March 5, 1937, the range being open for practice on the previous day. As usijal, there will be two grades, and it was decided that the B Grade comprise all competitors who have not won a prize of over £2 or have not been in any aggregate at any New Zealand National Rifle Association meeting during the last seven years.
