MINIATURE RIFLE SHOOTING
SOUTH ISLAND CHAMPIONSHIPS [Per United Press Association.) TIMARU, August ,9. The South Island miniature rifle championship meeting was _ held on Saturday night, 170 competitors taking part. The championship was won by W. Fallooii (Western Club, Oamaru) with a score of 157, after a shootoff with five others.
The women’s championship also resulted in a tie, Mrs C. H. Andrew (Oaniaru). with 153, winning on a shoot-off with two others.
The team’s championship went to Pleasant Point, with a score of 389, Willowbridge, with 385, being the run-ner-up.
