COMMUNITY SING
The weekly community sing held in the Strand to-day attracted a packed house, when over £l4 was taken. A tribute was paid by Mr Victor Peters (conductor of the Christchurch Harmonic Society), who said he had never heard better community singing. Two duets were also presented by Messrs -J. Pringle and Roy M'Dougall. while in response to numerous requests Mr J. F. Himburg presented his popular duck number. Mr H. P. Desmoulins again wielded the baton, while Mr Alf. Pettitt was at the piano.
