THE ‘SPORTS SPECIAL’
The local “ news ” feature of to-morrow night’s ‘ Sports Special ’ will be the Rugby encounter between Southern and University A. While the students are not immediately imperilling Southern’s leadposition, they have (on form) a presumptive win in hand in their unplayed match, and may yet be knocking at the door. At any rate, a fast and brilliant match is expected to-morrow, and will be dealt with fully in the ‘ Snorts Special.’ Other news features will include the various field games of the day, cycling, harrier runs, and the day’s racing. Special articles include “ Nestor’s ” fourth in the cricket series, revealing the methods and characteristics of the world's great “ express ” bowlers, with special reference to the giant Tom Richardson and Larwood; “ Longsight’s ” reply to critics of his refereeing strictures; and an interesting review of Japanese athletes in line for the Olympics. The issue will carry well over a score of illustrations.
