AMATEUR CYCLING
ROAD PROGRAMME The committee of the Dunedin Amateur Cycling Club met last evening to draw up a programme for the major part of tho racing season. The big events apart from the twenty-five-mile championship, were not decided on, it being thought best to wait to see the programmes of other centres. The following is the programme : May 30.—Logan Park to Burkes and return. June 6.—Time trial to Broad Bay and return. June 13.—Forbury Park to Tomahawk and return twice. June 20.—Green Island to Scrogg’s Hill and return. June 27?—Quarter-mile hill climb at Tomahawk. July 4.—Green Island to Allanton and return. July 11.—M'Lachlan Cup race around Taien. July 18.—Green Island, Allanton, Outrajn, Wyllie’s Crossing, and return. • July 25. Otago twenty-five-mile championship. Course similar to July 18.
The race for to-morrow will be from Logan Park to a point just past Burkes and return, the distance being 10 miles. This is the second race in the Calder Mackav Cup series.
