RUGBY The attraction at Carisbrook will be the match between Pirates and University A. This is expected to provide one of the best games of the season, as both teams play bright, open football. Pirates have _ been showing good form in their previous matches. _ They have a good pack of forwards, while the backs are capable of playing well. _ University A also has a good forward division, and its backs can be relied upon to give a bright, spectacular display. As a curtain raiser the third grade match High School and Southern should also provide some good play. At the Caledonian Ground Dunedin will meet ZingariHichmond. Dunedin is showing improvement with each game, and has a very solid forward pack. Zingari is also a greatly-improved side. As a curtain raiser the fifth grade match between Dunedin and Pirates will _ be played. At Bishopscourt the old-time rijsals Kaikorai and Alhambra will meet. Both teams have . shown marked improvement in their play since the opening of the season. At the University Oval Southern should prove too strong for University B. Mosgiel rqgidents should see an interesting game between Taieri and Union. The proceeds from Saturday’s gates will be divided between the Dunedin Hospital, St. John Ambulance Association, Patients and Prisoners’ Aid Society, and the fund for disabled footballers’ necessitous cases.
