CENTENARY CELEBRATIONS Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, May 24. To-day being preparatory Sunday for tho Bishop Broughton centenary celebrations, Dr Averill, Primate of New Zealand, preached at St. James’s Church in the city this morning and at St. Andrew's Cathedral, Sydney, in the evening. With the other visiting bishops he also addressed a special Empire Day service this afternoon at the cathedral. Bishop Hilliard, of Nelson, preached at St. John’s, Ashheld, in the morning, and at St. Thomas’s, Rozelle, in the evening.
