POLICE COURT
THURSDAY, APRIL 30. (Before Mr H. W. Bundle, S.M.) A LICENSING BREACH. Neil Plank pleaded guilty to a dirge that, being other than the licensee of the Caledonian Hotel, he supplied liquor after hours, and was fined £2 10s and costs. MOTORIST CHARGED. Reginald Harry Cook (Mr J. B, Thomson) pleaded not guilty to a charge of failing to give way to and to allow a tram car approaching from the left to cross the intersection of Princes and Rattray streets. Mr Thomson submitted that there was nothing in the regulations to compel a motorist on an intersection to stop when a tram which had _ been stationary on the edge of the intersection commenced to move. After hearing lengthy evidence the magistrate dismissed the case.
