MISSION TO AUSTRALIA CONSULTATION WITH GOVERNMENTS i Press Association—By Telegraph-Copyright .LONDON, February 28, (Received February 29, at 1.30 p.m.) The Empire Migration Settlement Group, led, by Lord Middleton, whose supporters include .Sir Montague Barlow, Dean Inge, Lord Effingham, and Lord Dorchester, also group members in the House of Commons, intends despatching a mission to- Australia later in the year to investigate immigration schemes and consult the State Governments. The group .is now communicating with individual societies in New South Wales, Western Australia and Victoria, and has sent an explanation of it* views to all the Australian Governments. - . Meanwhile the New Empire, settle* ment Board shortly begins business. The first subject is expected to b* whether the Empire Settlement Act, 1922, needs amendment.
