COMPLIMENTARY SOCIAL AND DANCE The Nga Maara Hall was packed on Monday night, when Mr J. W. Munro, M. R.. and Mrs Munro were the guests of honour at a social and dance. Those present included the Hon. F. Jones and Mrs Jones. The mayor and mayoress (Mr and Airs E. T. Cox, Dr and Mrs AUAlillan. Air and Airs Neilson, Air and Airs A. Campbell, and Cr M. Silverstone. The Otago Labour Representation Committee was represented by the president. Air Bryan O’Donnell, while every brunch of the party had representatives present. Items were given by Misses P. Black and AI. Basctor (s.tepdancers), Mr C. Hawes (song), Air E. Cameron (song). Aliss A. Connelly acted as pianist. The dance was controlled by Alessrs S, Hawes. I. Ashworth, and H. Cartwright, the music being supplied by Mr P. Harbrow’s band. During the evening presentations of a bouquet to Airs Munro and a tobacco pouch and cigarette-holder (suitably inscribed) to Mr J. W. Aluuro were made. Supper was served by the ladies of the Social Committee of the Dunedin North branch.
