GIRLS’ BRIGADE CONFERENCE
The conference of the Girls Life Brigade (N.Z.) was continued tins morning when the devotional period was conducted by Mr H. Grocott, president of the Boys’ Brigade. The following resolution was passed; —“ The Dominion Council of the Girls Life Brigade expresses regret at the death of our beloved Sovereign, King George, and asks the Governor-General to convoy to His Gracious Majesty King Edward, the Queen, and all the Royal Family the deep and heartfelt sympathy of the brigade members throughout New Zealand.”
Later, at the appointed time, members attended the memorial service at the Cenotaph, Upon resuming, further discussion took place regarding the proposed revisions of the brigade’s constitution, with respect to executive positions. The conference was resumed this afternoon.
