ANIMAL HOSPITAL.
TO THIS EDITOR. Sir, —I am amazed to learn that Frew’s Blue Cross Animal Hospital in King street is forced to seek other premises. IVould it not he more fitting if the old building nearby were demolished instead of being remodelled? By tho opening of this hospital Mr Frew has done much for the welfare of many of our pets, and anyone who has been shown over this place must have been impressed with the kind, courteous. and efficient manner shown by Mr Frew in all his dealings with animals. Proof of his kindness has been given over and over again by dogs returning to the hospital, and I have always found Mr Frew obliging, always ready to do his best for anyone, day or night. My visits to this hospital have been many, and its cleanliness and hygienic principles could not be bettered. I would like to see all animal owners and lovers take this matter up and retain our long-wanted hospital. I am enclosing 10s to assist Mr Frew in making a test case, and I feel sure that many other animal lovers will follow suit. Supposing Mr Frew did remove to some isolated spot, it would not be long before someone would build, and the same old complaints would bo made. Keep the business area for’ business purposes and the residential area for residents. —1 am, etc.. Dog Lover. January 27
