DOMINION BREEDERS CONFER REPRESENTATION ON MEAT BOARD SOUGHT [Per United Press Association.! PALMERSTON N., January 27. At a meeting of the council of the New Zealand Pig Breeders’ Association it was decided to support a letter from the North Taranaki branch urging that the pig industry should have a representative on the Meat Producers Board. The council will approach the Department of Agriculture and the Government with such a request. The chairman (Mr J. A. Russell, Palmerston North) expressed the opinion that many boards would shortly be changed. , , At the suggestion of the South Island branch it was decided to write to the authorities at Smithfield, London, asking for a sample judging card showing the relative possible points for different sections of and baconer pigs, so that they could be judged on the same bases on the hoof in New Zealand. One member said that judging in the Dominion without this was done in the dark.
