UNIVERSITY SENATE.
ANNUAL MEETING AT AUCKLAND y [Pee United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, January 9. Tho annual meeting of.the Senate of the University of New Zealand will be commenced at the University College, Auckland, oil Thursday next, and will continue oh - succeeding days. The opening address will be given. by the Chancellor (the Hon. J. A. Hanan, M.L.C.). Thb sessions may possibly be concluded on January 20. • Tho Senate will elect a Chancellor, a pro-Chancellor, and a treasurer, and will also make the appointment of a registrar to succeed Mr E. T. Norris, who will retire on March 31 on six months’ leave of absence. Six of the applicants for the position have been invited to meet the Senate in person in Auckland on January 16.
